How to Use Your Customer Base to Generate More Profit.
Strategy one. Find out what records you keep for customer sales

Every time you sell anything make sure you collect a name and address. It helps if you have a computer, especially if you have a register of customer’s names already entered. If you don’t have a computer gets one.

TIP: Use the records
Enter the name, address, phone number and email address of each customer into the windows excel program because you can do a lot of things with a database of names. From this basic database, you can set up a variety of databases for your customers:

·    One in order of the customer’s suburb
·    Another in order of surname
·    Another in order of most sales sold
·    Another with the type of sale or product sold

Make no mistake about it. This worksheet is the start of a very big asset to your business. It is the nucleus of all future analysis and part of a strategy for generating new profitable business.
